At Gerard Design, every engagement begins with a thorough understanding of our client’s objectives. With that understanding in hand, we then follow a six-step communications process:

Discovery:

This is information gathering—interviews, print materials and Web research.

Strategy Development:

We boil everything we’ve learned about your company down to a key message and support it with a clearly written creative brief.

Creative Concept Development:

Using your key message as a filter, we explore creative concepts and layouts that best communicate your message.

Creative Execution:

We turn the creative concept into a creative reality. This is where design, copywriting, photography, and illustration converge.

Production:

From prepress (randoms, color corrections, composite proofs, plates) to printing (1/color, 2/color, 4/color+) to bindery, duplication, fulfillment, programming and mailing services.

Postmortem:

What went right? What can we do better next time? This important dialogue improves our understanding of your company’s communications needs.
